Keloid excision

A keloid can happen anywhere, but it is most frequently found in ears after ear piercing. Surgical removal of keloids from the ears is easy, but it’s hard to restore the shapes of the ears. Additionally, extra caution is necessary to prevent the recurrence of keloids, and this is often accomplished by injecting Kenalog or 5-FU solutions. If after these measures the keloids still recur, radiation therapy may be required in addition to any routine surgical procedures.
